1,
Ensure that the company you choose provides you with a copy of their insurance prior to confirming a contract and that it
covers them for accidental damage up to at least £75,000 per vehicle.
2,
Phone the insurance company to validate the insurance as some companies end their cover prematurely but still use their certificate.
3,
Ensure that the drivers who drive at your event are the names on the insurance certificate. (NO EXTRA NAMES AS THIS WILL VOID
THE INSURANCE)
4,
Ensure that the drivers have no more than 3 points on their licence as this may also invalidate the policy.
5,
Ask for at least 3 recent clients (no more than 8 months ago) who have received their service and verify with them their ability
and professionalism.
6,
Don’t always go with the cheapest as there is a reason for this.
7, Insist on a site visit prior to the event and ensure you meet with them, this ensures
you like their package they are offering and also shows good planning.
8,
Do not pay in full until the event is over and that they have provided you with the service and specifications you have agreed
on. (a deposit of 50% prior to the event is reasonable for expenses).
